Extinction is Forever

The Kawasan Idaea can only be found in Southern Cebu: in the Kawasan valley, near Mantalongon and the Nug-as forest. Presently, the larval host plant of this butterfly species is mass propagated for the preparation of a species specific habitat.

This butterfly subspecies is endemic to Cebu.
