FUNCTION Post 1843, sponsored by the Keller Police Department, is an active branch of the Boy Scouts of America. As an Explorer, you will learn first hand the duties and responsibilities of a law enforcement officer through actual and/or simulated police activities, under the direction and guidance of a certified police officer. It is not the purpose of the this Explorer Post to create a junior police force, but rather to create a better understanding between young adults of the community and the police department through education and application. It is the post’s desire to offer training to the members in police policies, procedures, and public relations, and to aid the community through involvement of young adults in community-service projects.

MISSION STATEMENT The mission statement of Post 1843 will be the same mission statement of the Keller Police Department: The Keller Police Department is a value driven organization committed to excellence and will partnership with the community to make Keller a better place to live, visit and conduct business.
