.........The Imperial Knight, a knight of any alignment merged with the soul of an Imperial Dragon, one of the oldest, strongest, and wisest of all dragons. None of the original members of this order of knight exist anymore. It was re-founded by the brother of Master Imperial Knight Necrum Aldermyne, Valhalla Aldermyne, who has brought the order to Amberlina to serve the King and Queen. It takes much to be an Imperial mentally, physically, and spiritually. The knight must be highly trained and skilled in the arts of knighthood in order to pass the test needed to prove to the dragons that he (or she) are worthy of its knowledge, strength, and soul. Once the knight passes the test and shows the dragons his worth, one of them will come forth. That dragon is the one who has chosen to forever share the knight's body and mind, giving him (or her) the ability to transform into the for of the dragon's body. Most are mammoth in size with wings, claws, nearly impenetrable scales, a tail that can be used as a whip, and lightening breath. While in their human form they can summon the Imperial Armor, as strong and durable as the dragons scales and light as a feather it comes with a chest and back plate, arm guards and gauntlets with spikes on the knuckles, thigh guards, boots, and a crimson cape. It is completely black in color except for the beige design on the chest plate that looks like a rib cage. It takes must practice and training to summon this armor though, there is much frustration from failing time and time again, but it is worth it all. After time and training the Imperial Knight can learn to summon on just certain aspects of the dragon without having to transform, such as their strength, claws, and even their wings.
Once the knight has merged with the soul of the dragon they can never be separated, it is an eternal bond. By bond I mean this, there are two souls in the body of the knight now, his (or hers) and the dragons. They are both still separate entities, just living in the same body. The man (or woman) and the dragon must learn to coexist, neither is master of the other. Until they have both accepted that fact the knight will not be able to transform on will, only when the dragon wishes to come out, and the dragon will not be able to come out unless the knight lets it. While in human form the knight is mainly in control, the dragon will have effected him slightly, like he (or she) will seem darker then usual (as in alignment). The same is there while in dragon form, the dragon has control and does as it wishes. Once they can coexist they are nearly the perfect warrior. As said earlier it takes a lot to become an Imperial Knight, more work and dedication then most are willing to give, which is why there shall always be such a small number of them in existence.
