Thank you for taking the time to check out Sakurai Production's art contest for the Wyverex book. Sakurai Productions is a new production company for anime, manga, and various froms of games. We are very aware of the wonderful talent that many people have in art but have trouble getting "discovered" because they have no publicity. For this reason, we want to help you and anyone you know get "discovered." We are looking for some really awesome art for our gaming books. This book will be published so if you are winner in any category we will be contacting you for permission to publish your art in our book! If you are published you will be acredited in the book(s) where your art was placed, as well as in an artist index. This is a good way to get yourself out there and let everyone know what you can do! Current entries are posted here!
Also, we have discussed additional prizes that may suit your fancy. The top three winners overall in this contest will be contacted and offered to make their very own manga, which we will publish. The artists will be paid for their manga works. Wyverex is also being developed as a MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online game) and we will be asking the top five artist overall if they wish to help us in creating the animation sprites. No coding, just drawing the sprites. The worlds that win the landscape category will be used in the game as well. Good luck!

If you would like to see more about the world of Wyverex, there are existing characters, art galleries, and a background history of the world on this site. Just check out the links at the bottom of the page. There is also the level one spell chart and what the spells do. Our level two spell chart is currently incomplete for our own reasons. Please take a look. You can also find everything from our index page.
Categories
1) Classes
Classes are Artist, Kleptomaniac (Someone who steal because they can't help it), Starving College Student, Poliece, Gunsmith, Historian/Mythologist, Programmer, Scientist, and Wrestler for level one classes.
Level two classes are Inventor, Alchamist, Mage/Sage -> Witch/Warlock -> Sorceress/Sorceror, Merchant, Archer, Warrior, Bard, Summoner, Rogue, and Advernturer/Treasure Hunter. The reason for the "->" is because there are several skill levels on that class but it starts at mage/sage. So the higher the level of the three makes you much more powerful.
Chosing from this category may be difficult so we are accepting one entry from each class per person. Please make sure to tell us what class you chose or it won't count! This category it the ONLY exception to rule number three. Good luck everyone!
2) Gatekeepers
This category is really simple. Go to the art gallery on this site and look at the Gatekeepers. If you want to redraw them in your own style and positions, that's fine. There is a seventh one that is NOT posted on the site. If you don't like any of them, make up your own and those will be considered. Our Gatekeepers are not permanent you know! We will be taking the best seven of these and those are the ones that will be in the books. Good luck to you!
3) Gods and Spriits
There are six main Gods and many spirits that we would like to see. They are listed in the world background. We know some of you are too lazy to check so we will list them here for you again.
Guar (God of Earth)
Gual (GOd of Fire)
Fen (God of Wind)
Sctohl (God of Water)
Shinrei (God of Light)
Sutomiru (God of Darkness and Creation)
These Gods have a human form and a creature form. If you do one God in it's human and creature forms (even as separate pictures) it will still count as one entry. If you want to see the spirits (which have the same two forms), please go look at the background page. Good luck!
4) Monsters
We don't care what you draw as long as it's awesome! Make something up if you want or make any of the Demonic races you can think of into monster pics. You need to know that anything can be a monster though so even Holy-based creatures can be submitted in this category. Just make it original. We will know if you got it from something. Good luck!
5) Multi-Race / Multi-class
If you would like you may send us any creature characters that are any races mixed. For example, a demonic elven pixie, or a angelic merfolk human. It doesn't matter what combination you want to do as long as it's interesting. The same goes with the classes. You can make and archer mage, for example, or a Kleptomaniac programmer. It doesn't matter. Just make it original and let the creative juices flow! Submit you entry with the specific combination in the e-mail. The best few will be the winners. Good luck!
6) Specific Character
Look at the existing characters in the character page section of this site. If you want you may do something like a "fanart" of a character and submit it. The best one for each character will be the one published. Good luck.
7) Specific Race
There are a few races to chose from so pay attention. There are Angels. Self explanitiory but often their wings are behind their ears, though there are still angels with wings on their backs.
The next race is Merfolk. There are three kinds; Eel Soldiers who rule over the underwater world, Pearl Merfolk who are the soldiers of their world, and Merfolk who have both legs and a tail. These can walk on land or swim in water. It's good to know that the Pearl Merfolk can swim in air. The Eel Merfolk are resricted to staying under water.
The next race are Dwarves. They live in the Mountains and mine for riches and forge weapons and armor. Among the little people in this world are the Meadow Sprites in the flower fields at the base of the mountain and the sprites and pixies in the forest.
The next race is Human, though there are three different types. One thype are Earthlings, the next are Feroquians (those who live in the desert as merchants), and the Ardenains (those of the magic kingdom.)
There are Elves from a forest world. Half-elves, Night-elves, Dark-Elves, Forest-Elves, and High-Elves all fall in this category.
Demons of all kinds live in the Demon World. We need some images of Vampires (good and bad), Dark-angels, imps, spectors, and shades. In our system our players can acctually become one of those races.

8) Spells
Look at the spell charts and chose a spell. Send us an image of that spell in action and submit it in this category. Easy huh? Good luck!
9) Worlds and Cities
Worlds and cities are landscapes of the places the players get to visit. We need images of the Angelic World (it lies in Heaven), the Elven World(a magical enchanted forest with an inner spirit dimention. This world is very beautiful), the Desert world (with a few oasis cities), the Demon world (there is a huge dark castle in the middle of it that has tall dark and twisted towers), the Underwater World (where all the water in the universe comes from), and the world of small people (The Dwarven/ Sprite/ and fairy world), and Ardenia (the magic world. THe capital city floats on a giant rock in the middle on a huge round pit in the ground. There is only one bridge to enter the city)
We do not need any images of Earth so don't worry about them. Good luck to you in this category!
