Dagora City
This City is unlike any other in Delusa for the simple reasons that it is located on the island to the east that is shared with the northern AOA land, and it is a town totally devoted to fighting. The word Dagora itself translates into "Battle" which was given to this place after the first tournament here. The only people who truely live here are prisoners, gladiators, trainers, as well as thosw who run the festivities and shops here. A large coliseum stands at the far end of the town in the north east. In the center lies a path of cobble lined with inns and shops At the the center of the town is a fountain identical to the one within Vorago which also doubles as a fountain.. At the the port is an archway upon which is situated a knight on horseback, the horse bucking and the knight on it's back heavily clad ina rmor, head and all, with a cloak upon his back raising his hand-and-a-half (that's a sword for those of you who don't know) high into the sky over his head. the pathway from this is quite far for those heading to the city and it may take a day or so to get there...three if one were to walk consistantly. The city however, is quite extravagant however dispite it's location. Merchants sail here from vorago who deal with the shops and the smiths within the coliseum. At the stadium itself, at the entrence stands two gladiator statues with swords crossed over the other. the swords have small holes within them that act as a torch so the swords look as if they are engulfed in flames. the games vary and take place year round, however the large tournament occurs once a year and depending on the regulations the top one or the top few get a place within the millitary. gladiators get either their freedom, millitary position, or fandom depending on their choice. on the western edge of town is a temple devoted to the god of war. many of those participating in the games pray and make offerins gere to help ensure their victory and glory.
