Glavor
Glavor is a town within the mountains at the southern border of Delusa. The village is located northeast of Varigal and directly west three or four mountains from Bonobas. Glavor is an interesting town and is quite functional. Due to its location many classes of people live here. Many lodgings can be found along with taverns, shops, and cool, refreshing mountain air.
The mountain range that Glavor rests upon serves many purposes. First of all, The mountains themselves can be very dangerous and they create a major hurtle in getting within Delusa. However, many make use of the hot springs that fill the mountains. Resting-places usually center on these springs, however Glavor makes the most use out of them, and is well known for their springs. It's quite an attraction, for the springs are usually well kept, and very relaxing. Another value of this mountain town is its ores. Aside from the lodgings and relaxing springs, the town is well known for it's mining of gold and other metals used throughout the kingdom and realm. The mines are deep and dangerous to work in. One wrong choice and a miner could find himself drowning in hot spring water. Although thanks to one such incident where a miner found an underground spring, a well was created upon it for drinking and practical use. Thankfully it wasn't a pressurized pocket and no harm was caused whatsoever.
The springs that the town was built upon are commonly found with trees and shrubbery around, along with signs of past civilization. The waters heal and refresh the body, while the scenery surrounding the springs rejuvenates the soul. Travelers are quite common, and many adventurers make a stop here to experience the many wonders presented. The walls of the town are merely made out of many tree trunks cut clean and placed side by side. Due to being placed on a mountain toward the top, there is something else people like here. At the highest ridge that is easily accessible to all, the mountainside drops sharply, revealing a forested valley surrounded snugly by mountains on nearly all sides. This forest is commonly covered in fog due to a spring there. It is rumored that this spring in the direction of the setting sun flows with magic. The journey there is not an easy one, however. It is claimed that many of the people who venture forth into the forest never return. Many believe that some of the giants from Varigal or monstrous beings that bathe within the mystical spring take care of those wising to wallow in its waters. Others believe that the people who go there find the spring along with total bliss and wish never to return. Whatever the reason, none have returned who have ventured down to experience those enchanted waters.
The houses are as one would expect, made of wood, from shacks to cabins. The winters are very cold and the summers pleasant. Commonly, the roads are comprised of dirt and here and there are some paved paths that reach no further than ten feet. Also, it is common to see the outer layer of many of the houses made of stone. This helps keep the homes warm in the winter and cool in the summer. However, with the hot springs, heating in the winter is not a real problem. The question is whether or not the waters will remain for a long time to come. This town dosen't seem to have a particular deity that the people show special respect or hold with a higher regard than any other of the gods or goddesses. Much trading is done and the atmosphere is quite resort-like.
