Long ago, when Avalon was still young, there was only a small section of land inhabited by beings of average to great intelligence and powers. Within this small area, many races of beings lived. There were good days and bad days, however most tried to get along, despite the differences between the races and forms of life within this small area surrounded by mountains known as 'the motherlands'. As time progressed, those within the motherlands began to turn their differences into grudges, and from there to hatred. There were the humans who had recently been introduced to this land from other realms, the demons who hath also made anew within the land, however the land had some natural demons about. There were also evlen beings, trolls and the horad of beings much like them. Also, there had been dragons who had laid claim to the land as their home, their numbers had dwindled due to the second of the Dragon Wars that had taken place previously before the arival of some of the 'new races'. With the quarrels and fights abounding between the lifeforms, it was only a matter of time before war broke out...and that fact finally came to reality with the first massive war of a new era...The Psychic Wars.

The Psychic Wars were devistating to many. As the name of this war implies, the physical aspect of the war had gotten the different factions nowhere, and so psychism, or psionics were introduced to the lands of Avalon. Those who amassed in physical strength, but weak minds fell first in this grueling war. The casualties grew more and more brutal with the rising strain within each level of mental ability and prowess that was presented. Only those with the strongest minds stood a chance. Finally, however, this devistating war had finally drew to a close, leaving many races far and few within number, and the dragons themselves seemed to have disappeared. Though this is not true and there were those dragons who did survive, this barely accounted for any significant fatalities on their part. With little to live for within the battle-tainted motherlands scored with blood and etched with pain, the straggling survivors of this war moved out of their 'homeland' stretching into the realm and establishing settlements which over time became cities, and following thereafter were individual countries. Against the will to have yet another war like such that was within the past, some of the people got together to form an alliance. This alliance began to set up land and set forth to begin a governemtal system in which to help run the lands of those that joined under this system. Many countries formed could have their own government and could run it however they so wished, however, the alliance was neutral ground and any fighting done by their part would be done by those who threatened the land of the Alliance and that of the entire realm.

Two countries were formed quickly after the war, majority of the populations within these two countries were humans. Most of the countries were comprised mainly by race at the time. These two countries of human rulers were that of the Delusa Kingdom and the Gladius Kingdom. Both sharing different points of view and opinion kept them from joining the Alliance for a long while. Over time, the kingdoms grew. They had their own small individual wars which allowed for the growh of their nations. these smaller wars resounded mainly from the continued conflicts between races that still had grudges against each other in most cases. Finally, the diplomatic reasoning between Delusa and Gladius failed, resulting in yet another war.

The war between Delusa and Gladius was not as severe as the psychic wars, however it took it's toll on the two sides nonetheless. With a well thoughtout plan by the Gladius, they nearly managed to take over Delusa from the inside out. However, one of the great potentials of the time known as the one called 'Alex', whom had seemingly disappeared at the time of the start of the war had returned to the aid of his country of Delusa. With this one man, the tides of the war changed, reversing entirely with the battles he fought. It is said that he was forced to defeat his most trusted ally, and then the cause that turned his companion against him. With these figures out of the way, Gladius soon fell with the death of their king. Those living within Gladius at the time had now suffered to the point that their homes were rendered utterly nonexistant. the remains of such might be found where the land once was, but the Gladians had migrated, spreading out leaving their old land to fall to the way-side. After the war, there was little mentioned of Alex who had seemed to disappear just as suddenly as he had reappeared. His whereabouts and the location of Gladius had been lost through the sands of time and all records were somehow lost or hidden somewhere where no one seemed to know. Over the progression of time, people forgot many of the happenings and the actual story and the tales of the lives of those that were involved. After the war had ended, Delusa had joined the Alliance of Avalon and lived well for centuries. To this day, despite the lack of the full story behind the war and the events of those lost souls, the name of the great Alex still stands prominant, uttered even now by the citizens of the kingdom. Yet in this very age, several centuries after the event, many still believe that the bloodline of Alex still remains within the Kingdom. The real question is just what may bring light to this seemingly rumor. Only time may give that answer...
