Rules and Guidelines of Excite Gor Rules

General Rules Council Operation

The Council exists to grow Excite Gor, and to manage disputes. The Council may establish rules and guidelines. Only posted rules apply.

Adherence to the rules is required for acceptance of a HS as part of Excite Gor.
Each recognised HS may send Ubar and FS to Council Meetings and may vote. One vote is allocated to each HS, with each HS annexed to the main HS also having one vote. Members may exercise proxy voting powers if unable to attend. They are to advise the Chair of their proxy prior to the Meeting.

Meetings are to be held at least monthly.
3 Members constitute a quorum.

3 members may also request a special or emergency meeting.

The position of Chair is by election for a 6 month period.
It is expected that the chair will rotate around all Members.

Castes
Castes are self-governing, provided always that they are responsble to the Ubars, with each caste member having their Ubar as first alliegance.

War and Safe Areas
War is banned until 10 October, 2004, unless otherwise extended.
Raiding is permitted but HS declarations are to be respected. Parts of HS may be safe areas and parts may permit raiding, capture, etc. This is up to each HS.
Outside of Gor is safe.
Assassins are not to be hired during the 12 month no-war period.

Home Stones
To be part of Excite Gor HS are to be recognised by Council and names/URLs will be posted on the Council website. Recognition will be given to any HS in Excite Gor that agrees to abide by the Will of Council and the laws thereof, and which accepts that Excite Gor is no game, but is a true society. Subject to those rules not conflicting with the rules of Council, each HS may make such rules as it sees fit. Existing HS can be linked if needed.

Guidelines for Gor Sites
All sites should have a message area. The Council site should also have a message area for posting of Minutes, etc.
The agreed rules as posted to the Council site, may also be included on HS sites, provided they are kept up to date.
Each HS may make own rules regarding visitors. Visitors should be provided with opportunity to travel and to make sure that if they do join a HS that is a considered choice. HS need not accept all who wish to join.

Rules for Individuals
Only one name is to be used in Gor (excite or other Gorean chat rooms). Non-Gorean names may be used in non-Gor areas but are to be registered with own HS. Offenders will be posted by Council when detected, and may appear before Council to defend the case. Punishment for proven cases will be shunning. If a person (slave or free) is killed return with a new name is permissible. Free and slaves may only belong to one HS at a time, in Excite Gor or elsewhere. Free and slaves will be registered to their HS and are to include it on their ID.

Guidelines for individuals
It is recommended that partners in r/t be in relationship in Gor also. R/t disputes should as far as possible be kept out of online Gor. They should be confined to IMs with online Goreans not taking sides.
Jealousy in slaves has no place in Gor and will not be tolerated.
