Drill Team

The Drill team is a regulation and exibition team. This means that there are two very different styles for marching. Regulation is exacally like marching, it includes "Right Flank" and the basic movements in a regulation drill(see marching for more info). Exhibition is quite different from the regulation standards. Exhibition is similar to marching but with many new ideas and styles. Exhibition has movements that the whole team made and the commander himself can add moves like "Pheonix Present Arms" to help liven up their performances. They can do either of these styles in any of their performances.

Drill Team has competed in (S.C.I.D.M.), or Southern California Invitational Drill Meet, and did well for their first time. They have recieved 1st place in the Christmas parade and got 3rd in the Memorial Day parade. They have signature moves like "Fancy Ranks" and "Pheonix Present Arms." All year they have been creating new moves so that next year they can be ready for more competitions with new ideas. They call themselves Phoenix Unarmed Drill Team because that is what it has been called for 6 years. It's a tradition. The commander is Cadet Captain Arturo Rojas and he is also the Vice-Corps Commander. Currently there are twelve team members in drill team.
