::Inuyasha::
Inuyasha's name clearly means"dog-demon".He is an offspring of a human and a youkai[demon, monster,evil spirit.],the proper name for this is hanyou.Hanyou's are rather mistreated from both sides of the human race and youkai race;due to humans fearing youkais and youkais looking down to them as weaklings.This is what Inu Yasha faced through his child hood years and later on in life.With the world against him,he had grown up to be selfish,cold hearted,ill-manared,and much of a loner.Only relying on himself and no one else. Although his mother cared for her child,sadly,she died in the end.Another soon came into his life to show affection for him.The cold-hearted miko[priestess], Kikyou.Even then,tragedy had fallen upon the two.Allowing him to be put to sleep by a strong seal.50 years later,he is reawaken by a girl,named Kagome,who looks striking familiar to Kikyou.

::Love Life::
First Love He first encountered Kikyou when he was in a forest,close to her home, hearing about the shikon no tama[jewel of four souls],he had come to the village seeking it.That soon came to a hault when several arrows had pinned him down to a tree.The arrows were shot by a miko named Kikyou.She let him free,maybe she felt pity for him? Inu yasha began to keep an eye on her,making more and more visits,rather observing her in a way.Maybe it was love at first sight?Later on,he started to feel affection towards her,as did she.Kikyou told him about what the shikon no tama can do.Not only can it increase the power of a youkai but it can also change a Hanyou,like Inu Yasha,into a full human.This did interest Inu Yasha a bit;to become human and be with Kikyou.Would he choose that instead?Sadly,like any other love story,there is a tragedy.One day,Kikyou was suddenly attacked by surprise.She was slashed by razor sharp claws,leaving her wounded and bleeding.In anger and from betrayal she hunted down Inu Yasha, finding that he had stolen the shikon no tama,while running away with it.With another shot of her arrow,she stopped him in his tracks.This time the arrow had a spell on him;it was a spell to seal the demon to sleep.
::Other World::
Other World Kikyou had died right after sealing Inu Yasha to sleep.Her last words were, to burn her and the shikon no tama,for she would take it with her after death. Now in present day of Tokyo,on that day of a 15-year old girl's birthday,which her name is Kagome Higurashi.She had accidently fallen into a well after looking for her cat,Buyo.Allowing a centipede monster to pull her into it;pulling her back in time to the feudal ages.There she first met Inu Yasha,who had been sealed for 50 years,pinned to the same tree for so long.Inu Yasha soon woke up after smelling a familiar smell.To him,Kagome smelled like Kikyou and upon waking up,she looked like her as well;this resulting in him calling Kagome,Kikyou.For she was truely the reincarnation of Kikyou after all.This upsets Kagome,in which she does not like the idea of being called by someone else's name.
::Reawaken::
Reawaken After another encounter with the same monster from the well,Kagome pulled out the arrow from Inu Yasha,allowing him to attack the centipede monster and kill it.He started to turn on Kagome,using his claws against her.Luckily,Kaeda,the younger sister of Kikyou,had casted a curse on Inu Yasha.A black rosary was placed around his neck and for this,Kagome had a way of controlling him.Just when Kagome was about to get attacked by the furious dog boy,Kaeda yelled to her to say a command word that would trigger the curse to work on him.The only thing Kagome could think of was the word, "osuwari"![which means,"sit"]The end result was having Inu Yasha getting pulled by the rosary and slammed into the ground,very hard.From then on,Inu Yasha had to stick with Kagome,even though,he was reluctant about it.

::Second love::
At first,Inu Yasha did not like Kagome at all.He was rude and mean to her.He was still upset about what Kikyou had done to him in the past,since Kagome looked like her.After a while and getting to know each other,he found out she wasnt like Kikyou at all.Kagome eased the poor hanyou's torn heart,making him have feelings towards her and be,well not all the way open,but rather have a concern for others.
::Tetsusaiga::
Tetsusaiga(Pulverising Steel Fang)

A strong weapon Inu Yasha uses when his claws do not work in a certain fight. This sword's first appearance is a rusty old katana,which to some,looks like a piece of crap.That is not true.The true form of this blade is a giant white blade,with fur at the bottom of the helt;this being one of the fangs from Inu Yasha's father's teeth.[Weird,isnt it?]Its purpose is mainly to seal Inu Yasha's youkai power.Crafted by an old man named Toutousai,this weapon was handed down to Inu Yasha in order to protect humans. It also has a twin sword,Tenseiga.Sesshoumaru is the only one to use this sword,but it has an opposite effect than what the Tetsusaiga does.According to Toutousai,Tetsusaiga can kill a 100 lives in one stroke,while Tenseiga can save a 100 lives and revive the dead with one stroke.Why Sesshoumaru was given this sword instead of Tetsusaiga,he will not know.The shealth that goes along with the Tetsusaiga comes in handy as well,it is used mostly for protection.Later on in the series,the blade is broken,but Inu Yasha gets it repaired by the same person who had crafted it in the first place.With the help of pulling out one of Inu Yasha's fangs,since the blade IS part of his father's fang after all. The Tetsusaiga goes through another change,from the help of Shiori and the crimson orb that was used by the Hyaki Koumari[100 bat people] in order to strengthen the barrier for their nesting grounds.The blade is dyed in a deep crimson,enabling the blade to become more stronger than before.

::Blood of Hanyou::

Youkai Blood Inu Yasha's one desire that he wishes to have with the help of the shikon no tama,is to become a full youkai. Yet,he soon realizes that becoming one,is not what he had thought of in the first place.When Inu Yasha is at a point of close to death,where he is trapped in a battle and cant get out,the youkai blood with in him starts to take over.He transforms into a demon.Though,when he is like that,he starts to loose control of his mind and all he can think about is killing his enemy,even those that he cares for.Since his body is not used to being a full youkai,he can only handle so much,this is why he goes on a rampage.Not even Kagome can reach him,unless she says the command word to calm him down.After he is back to his senses,he doesnt remember a thing as to what he did while being a full youkai.This causing him to be afraid of what he might do to Kagome,without realizing it.With this in mind, Inu Yasha struggles to keep himself in control,with the help of the Tetsusaiga.This blade helps out by sealing Inu Yasha's youkai energy to where he wont loose control over himself again.
::Curse of the new moon::

All hanyou share this curse on the day when there is no moon in the sky.It appears every new month,and it's called New moon.On this night, a hanyou looses their strength.With Inu Yasha,he looses his claws and fangs.His hair turns from white to black, his dog ears disappear,leaving human ears in place,and his eyes turn from gold and black slits,to brown and normal black pupils.Inu Yasha hates being in this form,for he is rather weak and cant use the Tetsusaiga either.Hanyou's keep it a secret from others,especially Inu Yasha.He doesnt trust many for word to be out about him loosing his strength. Think of it as a holiday for people who might get killed by him,though this holiday soon ends when the sun comes up and he is back to normal.Run very far if you are near him.

::Family::
In relation to youkai and human InuYasha's father is described as a giant inu[dog]who was a very strong lord of the western lands. Although he can take form of a human,just like any other full youkai can.It is said,he had a soft heart for humans,and fell in love with a priestess.He died shortly when Inu Yasha was little,he did not have many memories of him,but he remembers his mother very well.Sesshoumaru [name meaning="Destruction of the circle of Life"]is Inu Yasha's half older brother.These two do Not get along at all.They are constently fighting against each other,and I dont mean by words,but rather trying to kill one another.He hates his little brother;for being a Hanyou and having a weakness for humans.He is quite powerful and can change into a giant inu,just like his father,he is cold hearted and would kill anything,without a second thought.
