Evening activities for our youth

There's a deep wound in our society that has seemingly never been attempted to be cured. This problem is late night activities (past 10 PM). Everyone past the age of 16 knows that the only possible entertainment to partake of past that particular time is go to some horrible party or play some even more boring video game online.

Why havn't our communities grasp the fact yet that young adults are inevitably going to be awake until 2,3 sometimes 4 AM?? If you wanna proclaim your love for MADD, underage drinking, etc. then attack the problem at its roots. What do law enforcement or MADD attempt to do to deter kids from drinking?? In my opinion they do absolutely nothing short of benefeiting themselves first. Law enforcement in general is a huge joke... If your car gets destroyed what are the chances they find the people; about 0% and if you are drinking at a party what are the chances you get caught; about 5%. Law enforcement can claim that finding and ticketing kids for drinking may be a step to decline damage to other's automobiles. Now this theory is seemingly correct so there's a good chance they don't actually go by that theory. Hell, law enforcement is here for one thing, to get money for the state. If anyone has ever thought of a good thing law enforecment has done im sure it's overshadowed by things such as misdemeanor tickets, etc. If your car gets stolen no one can look for it, why? because they're busy satisfying their monthly quotas (update: monthly quotas are actually a myth in most parts of the country) for traffic violations, settling domestic disputes, or filling out unneccessary paperwork.

Alright enough about that nonsense. Time to get back to the real problem here; late night activities for young adults. If mothers would like to stop drunk driving why don't they find something else for these young adults to participate in? What is a young adult supposed to do when his only choice of activities on a friday night is going to some terrible party or sitting at home alone playing Halo online?? It doesn't take a criminal mastermind to figure out that drinking and smoking are basically the only available modes of entertainment issued to young adults after hours.

Our communities desperately need to adopt late night activites designed for entertaining our young adults. It doesn't have to be all that difficult either. Hell, when i was in elementary school my parents took me to car races and we didn't get back until midnight and then it was time to go to sleep. Why can't we start marketing car races to our young adults? I'd be surprised if over 15% of college students know of car races in their surrounding areas. How about late night bowling (with black lights and what not) why can't that be marketed to young college students?? Now I've heard speeches from SADD before and they say it's alright to drink but not drive??? Well, after telling young college students that it was alright to break the law they lost all credability. They should have their name changed to SAPA, (Students Against Pathetic Activities).

Basically all I'm illustrating here is that our society is in desperate need of late night activites for our young adults. I'm getting sick and tired of the evening plan being "either going to this party, that party, or sit at home and play video games." It doesn't take a genius to figure out which activity 95% of young adults will choose there. So, here's a cry out to MADD, SADD, and our "law enforcement" to stop dinking around and tackle the root of drinking problems in our community. I'm the pissed off Barbarian
