Coley Cemetery (once known as Norfield Cemtery) is located on Route 57 (Weston Road) in Weston, Connecticut. Burials date from the 1700s (the oldest legible stones are from the 1760s) and continue into modern times. Coley hosts numerous veterans (mostly from The Civil War, but there are also veterans of The French & Indian War, The Revolution, and both World Wars). There are also a substantial number of infants and children interred in Coley (including a few memorials for twins). The most represented surname in Coley Cemetery is... Coley. I would venture a guess that at least half of the burials in the cemetery are for members of the Coley clan. Considerable, when you consider that there are hundreds of burials in the cemetery.
The photos on this page are divided into three sections: particularly older stones (1700s), the children, and other interesting memorials.
Estimated number of interments, as of January 2024: at least 956.
