Mountain Grove Cemetery (formerly Maple Grove Memorial Park) is a secluded, new cemetery located at the end of a cul-de-sac (Harvester Road) off Madison Avenue in Easton, Connecticut. All memorials are flat stones. There is nothing remarkable about the cemetery or any of its monuments, but the setting is quiet and peaceful and more than once I've spotted deer on the property. The cemetery was (December 2018) dealing with an issue of flooding. Large portions of the cemetery were mud and the walkway was torn up. The situation has since been rectified; a new wall (containing niches for cremated remains) has been erected for the upper level. Photos of the cemetery's current condition are posted later on this page.
In 2022, the cemetery added leafy arches over the main walkway through the cemetery, leading to the upper tier. Photos are provided at the end of this page.
Estimated number of interments, as of January 2024: at least 2653.
Photos were taken 25 December 2018, 2 July 2020, and 4 September 2022.
