SIMPLY SAUCER
this band were an ontario Sci-Fi underground rock band of the mid 70s, a cd was released back in '89 on a small label, in recent yrs their collection has been rereleased to mass acclaim, they recorded an amazing set in ' 74 atop of a shopping mall, that along with some latter day recordings from ' 77 - ' 78 made it onto the cd, along with a powerpop single and b side they were able to release in ' 78..........
they had a big wall of sound, bringing to mind the VELVET UNDERGROUND, the STOOGES, and PINK FLOYD with their experimental rock sound is assured them a non commercial underground status amongst the rock fans of the day, hearing their music one hears a great wall of niose mixed with guitar flash and expertise, the members were Edgar Breau, Ping Romany ( John LaPlante), bassist Kevin Cristoff and drummer Neil DeMarchant .....

this one is sci fi rock, guitar driven with good sounds from the keyboards.....
2 'ELECTRO ROCK'
here BREAU sounds like a younger LOU REED on the vocals against a wall of niose with some cool guitar notes....'YEA JESSE JAMES WAS A EXCHANGE'........
3 'NAZI APOCALYPSE'
ragged STOOGES-type rock......'U LIKE IT..............EVA. YEA EVA BRAUN, FLY BY, HIGH,.....HIGH.......'.......GREAT song, but it don't compare to the SCREAMERS classic punk number 'EVA BRAUN'......
4 'MOLE MACHINE'
instrumental, keyboards and elec. guiatr make unique niose
5 'BULLET PROOF NOTHING'
one of the standout tracks, again BREAU sounds like LOU REED on this rocker which begins in a slow acoustic vein before building up into a more experimental harsh rock sound.....'YEA TREAT ME LIKE DIRT, DRIVE ME INSANE, TREAT ME LIKE DIRT, NEVER ( ? ), TREAT ME LIKE DIRT, I'M LOSING MY MIND' !.......cool electric guitar, these guys had a lot of talent....
and in recent yrs BREAU has been involved with politics in canada..........
