The Animal Asia Foundation is a government supported charity based in Hong Kong that is devoted to helping wild or domesticated endangered species throughout Asia. The AAF does this by working with local communities and establishing programs with the government. The vision of the AAF is to end cruelty and promote respect for animals Asia wide. The founder of AAF is Jill Robinson was born in England and has always loved animals. She and her husband moved to Hong Kong in 1985 and she was sick with how the animals were suffering in Asia. In 1991 she founded "Dr. Dog", the first animal care program in Hong Kong. In 1998 she was awarded the MBE by Queen Elizabeth for her services to animal welfare in Asia.
