Foxton and Foxton Beach is a great place to take photos and here are some that I have taken.

Main Street Foxton

Foxton main street is nice and wide and you can see two main land marks, The water tower and the new Windmill.

Musseum

Great place to look at how Foxton use to be.

This building use to be the court house.

The Windmill

Opened in May 2003 is Foxton best land mark

See touistism page for more infomation.

Foxton Little Theater

This is the oldest building in use in Foxton. Build in 1867 by George Nye as a Presbyterian Church. Sold to Foxton Little Theater in 1970.

Replica the the Palmerton

Built in 1872 and serve the railway lines around Foxton.

Te Awahou Indoor Bowls Hall

This large red building began it's life as The Foxton Harbour Board Shed and Wharf in 1925. But in 1942 the Whirokino cut was constructed which made the water flow to stop and cause the river to shrink. This cause The Port of Foxton to virtually ceased to function in 1942.

New World Foxton

The main corner section is what is left of The White Hotel. Most of the build was demolished in 2002 and New World Supermarket was open in 2002.

See also murals for more infomation on the building before this one.

Foxton swimming Pool

This swimming pool is used by the local Children of Foxton.

And will hopfully get a upgrade in the near future.

Foxton Water Tower

Set in Seaview Gardens Foxton Water Tower is the highest building in Foxton. 1923 was when The Water Tower was built. Telecommcuation transmiiters are fix to the top of the tower.

Foxton River Loop

As you can see in this Photo this is all what is left of the river and is fairly carm with a lot of weed growing on its banks.

Manawatu Trestle River Bridge.

Manawatu Trestle River Bridge is one of the longest bridge's in New Zealand.

Ken Everett Cycleway

This Cycleway is dedicated to the memory of Ken Everett, a well known long-distance cyclist, who tragically lost his life while crossing the Manawatu Trestle River Bridge.
