 September   16th 1998, I’ll never forget it. It was the day my dad was shot. He was the prized black bull, of the Los Angels police department. He was famed lawman. Criminals ran in fear from this man.  But ya’ll are telling me my father, the man I lived for, was following in his footsteps, is a dirty cop.

He always told me bad cops deserved to be hung. No not my father, it can’t be. He said, “ Bastdards never get my badge.” “Cops aren’t cops no more.” “ They pawns in a big ass game of chess.”

You see my father knew then the road I would travel to get where I am. Even before Akia and I married.  Before I struck off on my own to become a detective. He knew when I was born, the first thing he taught me, that every thing that glitters isn’t gold, and when you got that spark, shyne……….
