Korea- 1950
The tense situation finally erupted into war on June 25, 1950 when North Korean Forces crossed the 38th. By September 14, the North Koreans have almost the entire penninsula in their grip; however, on June 27 the United Nations resolves to give military aid to South Koreans, mostly in the form of American troops commanded by General MacArthur. The tide quickly turns, and the UN (US) forces push the North Koreans back across the 38th parallel.
