Final Fantasy Tactics is by far one of the best Final Fantasy games ever. Most people don't bother with the game because its not a normal RPG, its a strategy game. In my opinion the best Final Fantasy is 7 but Tactics is the second best. The game involves a lot of tactile in the battles. Not much of the game is walking, in fact all you do to walk is tell the game where on the map you want to go. Then it's just a fight most of the time. You run into some characters from another Final Fantasy. Cloud and Areith make an appearance from 7. Cloud will join your party if you do everything correctly, if not you might not even see him. Getting Cloud is cool but by the time you can get him you are probably in a high level, and Cloud starts in a VERY low level.

The games story can only be matched by Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy VII. Other then that it has one of the best stories. Ramza is the main character in the game who is part of the royal family. At the start of the game you fight in a church, but then Ramza tells the story of him back just before the battle at the church. You do get to play when he tells the story and you get to level up.
