Match point was a big forehand swing winner and Ferrero was on his knee and in tears and joy. Verkerk defeated Moya and then Coria to get the final spot. But his game wasn't enough for Ferrero who had a chance to win here last year.``This is a tournament I always wanted to win,'' Ferrero told the crowd in Spanish during the trophy ceremony. ``Now I have it in my pocket.'' He does have it in his pocket and after the win, he went on to the crowd, to his supporters, friends and also kissed his girlfriend who was ready to party during the match point. Ferrero earned $983,000. Verkerk received $491,000, more than doubling his career earnings in seven years as a pro.

ITS ADJUSTINE!

Kim Clijsters wasn't a work out for Justine Henin winning her first Grandslam Title. Henin won 6-0 6-4. Thier head to head is now 4 wins for Henin and 7 wins for Clijsters.

Two years ago, Clijsters defeated Henin in a tough hard hitting match in the semis reaching her first and only Grandslam final facing Capriati. Though she lost the match in a long match in the third set 12-10 which was a really tough match. Henin reached the Wimbledon final a couple of years ago but lost to Venus Williams. Henin dedicated her win to her mother because when she was young she wanted to be on this court and maybe also win it. Clijsters wasn't upset recieving $479,000 while the champion Justine Henin recieves $958,000.

The dream continues

Martin Verkerk's dream is coming true. Reaching the finals in French Open. Defeating Guillermo Coria who beat Agassi in the quarterfinals. Verkerk had 19 aces and play very well. On the other semifinals, defending Champion Albert Costa was defeated by Juan Carlos Ferrero who he beat last year in the 2002 French Open finals in four sets. Costa played many 5 set matches and it wasn't enough for Ferrero.

All Belgian Finals

Justine Hennin is one of the few players who can beat the Williams and she proved it again. She defeated Serena Williams in three sets in the semifinal action. She won 6-3 4-6 7-5. The fans were going crazy having more fans going for Henin. Serena had a chance to win the third set breaking Henin but the crowd was too much for her. Crowd booing Serena's fault serves, unforced errors and even questioned calls.

She even served a first serve when she was up in third set and Hennin raised her hand up when Serena's serve hit the net. The umpire didn't see it and Hennin did not admit it. On the other match, the cramping Nadia Petrova loses to running tough forehand backhand player Belgian KIM Clijsters. She won 7-5 6-1. Clijsters made her run, drop shots and many hard forehands.

Young gun got good shots to Old gun

Agassi was murdered by Coria. meaning Coria, the young gun beat Andre Agassi in four sets. 4-6 6-2 6-3 6-4. Guillermo Coria is a 7th seed who wouldn't give Agassi free points. Agassi is still looking for his 2nd French Open Title but its not going to happen this year. Coria Advances and is gonna play Martin Verkerk.

There's nomore WILLIAMS FINAL

The American quarterfinals is now the RUSSIAN head quarters. Nadia Petrova defeated Jennifer Capriati in a long hard hitting match. 6-3 4-6 6-3 won by Petrova who defeated Monica Seles 6-4 6-0 in the first round even though its Seles wasn't in good health because of the foot injury. Also Venus Williams is gone. She lost to Vera Zvonareva in three sets 2-6 6-4 6-2
