Kappa Epsilon History

The Kappa Epsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was established by nineteen visionaries on May 24, 1973. These nineteen women were chosen from 40 applicants to charter a chapter on the campus of Florida State University.

The Kappa Epsilon Chapter is dedicated to service and excellence and since its inception has achieved recognition for its extensive involvement on campus and in the community. The chapter holds the distinction of receiving the Minerva Award in 1993, Sorority of the Year,Chapter President of the year, Advisor of the year and the Extravaganza Championship every year of KE participation.

In keeping with the prestige of the organization the members of Kappa Epsilon have exibited high scholastic achievement and leadership abilities. We have contributed to the community by volunteering in community centers, schools, and nursing homes, as well as providing scholarships. On campus, distinguished members have been rewarded for their accomplishments by being initiated into the Order of Omega, being elected to the Homecoming Court, and leading many campus organizations.

As the future approaches, Kappa Epsilon will continue to uphold the exceptional legacy of Delta Sigma Theta.
