This poem was written some time after breaking up with my first girlfriend. We became were best friends but there was a time when I wasnt quite sure it was over.
Ever so close
Yet so far away
I've given my most
A price I've gladly paid
I've always been there
Right there at her side
Her heart will not dare
To let me inside
I laugh when she's happy
I'm sad when she cries
We've endured all the trials
my love has not died
So is it friendship or love?
Am I best friend or more?
I fell for this dove
But she shut the door
I hope she knows I'll always care
From now until times end
Girls like her are rare
She's my one true friend
So lets all give a toast
To the damned old cliche...
EVER SO CLOSE
YET SO FAR AWAY.

This one was written and a time when I was very depressed over a number of things. Girl trouble family problems and I was at risk of failng in school.
I speak
I am not heard
If they listen at all
They don't care
Is there not one kind ear
So much I carry inside
So few I can talk to
I feel alone
Apart from the world
A step above some
A step below the rest
I've learned one thing in my young life
But I won't tell you
You won't listen anyway

I wrote this when I was still in a very unsure stage of my relationship. I didnt know if it would work and i had my doubt this poem says exactly what I felt
You got my heart
You know I'll be there
Forever and always
And I think you care
But I can't be sure
How you always feel
You hide what you think
That wasn't the deal
I brought you my heart
All wrapped up and nice
Yet you hide in the dark
And harden like ice
I know that your sweet
and also your shy
But let me be there
When you need to cry
I won't get too mad
If we feel different ways
Don't go and feel sad
I'm yours now and always

From watching t.v most of have seen whats its like to be the underdog winner and have a feelgood story.
But what about the loser? We've all been one but for those
blessed enough to win so often they have forgotten how it is to lose
I'll remind them
We are the battered
The tired
The worn
We are the beaten
The injured
The torn
We are the ones
who cant get it done
We're not the ones
who revel in fun
We are the ones
Who try as we might
Don't come out on top
When we fight the good fight
We are the ones
Who can't say we've won
Yet still we press on
For our place in the sun
We're the ones who were beat up by 3rd grade bruisers
We are the beaten
The tired
The Losers
I don't understand The ways of the world
I dont understand why people cant chill
I dont understand whats wrong with our times
I dont understand what allows evil to climb
I dont understand why one can get mad
When all it can do is hurt what they have
I dont understand so many great things
Why we cant pay the bills, while some wear diamond rings
I know a little though
It isnt alot
So give this a go
Love all that you got
Trust those you love when you arent really sure
for if they come through your love will be pure
Have faith in your God for better or worse
People come and go, He'll love you with force
Take some tough risks and go on a limb
Because if you dont you never can win
Hold on your friends their truly a must
Dont stay mad so long, frindship collects rust
Keep your enemies few, you'll live a longer life
Dont get beat down, by stress and by strife
I dont understand why we can't put the past where it goes
I dont understand why our past brings us woes
I dont understand the ways of my peers
I dont undersdtand the reason for jeers
I DO understand though, what my task must be
I will not understand, rather live by the breeze
