You Never Know,
know you don't!
The
Adventures of
Peter Meadowdale
II !
So you saw creator Phil Machi's 1999 film noir spoof The Adventures of Peter Meadowdale and couldn't wait for more? Well you must've, since it's 2001 already, and there's been nothing but Livestock reruns to keep you going...but wait! On the horizon! It's the Sun! It's a Bomb! No, It's a
Sequel!
In the past month, Arben has spoken to the man behind the fern himself, Phil Machi, about Pete's future, the loss of Douglas Adams, and more. Take a look, won't you?
No attempt or effort went into screwing with Phil's grammar or spelling, if you don't like it, don't gripe at me

Chapter One - Introductions

Arben Anison: Hallo.
Phil Machi: hola
A^2: How's life, the universe, and everything?
P.M.: 42, as usual
A^2: right...Y'know Douglas Adams died a few weeks ago...
P.M.: NO WAY
A^2: ::nods:: heart attack @ age 49
P.M.: thats too bad, man i had no idea
A^2: yeah...quite the surprise...www.douglasadams.com
P.M.: gracias

The Lost Chapter Two - Other Pleasantries

An Excerpt:

...
P.M.: everyone has their own version of the truth
A^2: Would you be willing to bottle and sell yours?
P.M.: for a piece of cake...sure

...
Chapter Three - To the Point

A^2: thankee. It's something of an accomplishment. Any word on Pete2?
P.M.: i just came from workin on the script a few min ago...started casting
A^2: Have you decided when production will start?
P.M.: yes...we'll probably shoot in August
A^2: Who's going to be in it?
P.M.: people no one knows...im not putting friends of mine in it...i decided i wanted to try something different for this film
A^2: So an open casting call, then?
P.M.: and im hiring folks who catch my eye, so to speak...im more or less finding people along the way...i might put an ad in the paper eventually for misc. roles
A^2: You once said that the plot for a sequel was going to basically be, "a week later," any more on that yet?
P.M.: oh much much more...but im kinda keepin it hush hush until its TOTALLY finished...and i get the "ok" back from my lawyer
A^2: So no recurring characters from the first one except for Pete, eh?
P.M.: yea...unless i have a small background cameo. most likely it would be Terrell...Marshall will proably appear again, if tahts considered a cameo as well...but other than that. new cast
A^2: Do you intend to direct again?
P.M.: direct again? yes. it will be more organized this time. ive already got a camera person and they will have a nice storyboard to go off of.
A^2: Also, any idea about what it will be shot on?
P.M.: thats still in the air at this point. its possible that i might get some funding from independant companies so depending on that ($$$) i dont know yet.
A^2: Plans made for crew members?
P.M.: umm...do you know Rachel Meklemburg?
A^2: Somewhat.

(Rachel produced an independent video of They Might Be Giants' Spy from their John Henry album.)
P.M.: she's workin the camera
A^2: Any other info you can give out yet?
P.M.: lets see...one of the main actors is flying in from Illinois...it will be made over in the fall...oh, and i made the new logo...but its not up yet cuz im at home
A^2: So you plan for PM: Episode 2 to beat SW: Episode two to the screen?
P.M.: definitely
A^2: when are you hoping for?
P.M.: this will be done by October...2 weeks of shooting then editing for who knows how long...not to mention the live orchestral recording of the score...then..off to the film festivals...*cross fingers*
A^2: Longer than the first one?
P.M.: probably an hour at most...at least 40 min...thast the idea anyway

Chapter Four - The First Flick

A^2: What became of the first one, past the initial screenings?
P.M.: it was shown at the Bowling Green annual film fest and in florida at a private screening
A^2: To much acclaim?
P.M.: come again?
A^2: To much acclaim; praise, revere, applause, laughter, accolade, or violent shooting deaths?
P.M.: where at? Solon?
A^2: BGSU or in FL. There's video of the Solon crowd's reaction...
P.M.: it went over very well. but the BG event wasnt advertised very well so the turnout wasnt as expected

Chapter Five - The Coolest Guy in the World

A^2: I think the question that most PM Fans are wondering about is whether or not there will be space for a certain Mike Ciarlillo, commonly acknowledged as the Coolest Guy In The World, perhaps as an extra somewhere, in the event that the role of Peter isn't open.
P.M.: you guys thought that Ciarillo was gonna take on the role of PM?
A^2: Must've been one of those crazy internet rumors...
P.M.: well...as of now, he's on staff for crew...as for a cameo....that's yet to be discussed.
A^2: well, he *IS* pretty cool...
P.M.: oh i agree
im just not using main characters from the first as different main characters for the second
A^2: Well then, that's all pretty fantastic. We'll have to talk some more after word comes down that you can discuss your own script.
P.M.: well...its near completion.
it will be finished at the latest by june 18th
A^2: Be seeing you.
P.M.: have a good night
