You Never Know,
know you don't!
Synaesthetic.

People have remarked not only in regard to the intensely creative nature of Blue Man Group but also the Creativity and "Art" they inspire. This might just be one such example, though originally merely an assignment. Synaesthetic*
Yell if you're paying attention.
Rumbling becoming thunderous. Thunder,
becoming Color.
              Red.
                  Blue.
                      Yellow.
                               Flash.
                                        Spray.
                                                Flow.
                                                      Pounding and driving,
                                                                         Sudden-
ly halted.
S i l e n c e. D a r k n e s s. N o t h i n g.

A crunch, crunching, growing, gaining, building,
threshold broken – explosion!
Fragments ring out through the delighted and immersed audience.
Shards rain upon the audience, immersed and delighted.

Then tread Shadows, somber or playful: all silent, primal.
Their rhythm floats across the head of the
most primal instrument, escaping
the dance, the light, the tribe, the tension too.
Shadows who give anything grace, in a vortex
(the spiraling shape.) They are the Endless Column,
a one-sided shape culled away so,
so gradually it is never missed.

Piercing and bright, thousands of red points convalesce – distant
                                              explosions, seen through Tubes. Hypnotic,
mysterious, and still distracting. Insignificant Rods and
Cones, affecting nothing but the watcher's melody, their
     audience......
trance broken. Pulsing intensity takes control.
! lights ! people ! paper ! abound ! surround ! unified ! ! light became sound. Noise became vision. Strangers became one. Yell if you're paying attention.
*--"There's a term, 'synesthetic,' which means the crossing of the senses, so that would be like seeing sound or hearing color," -Chris Wink.
