Cole grew up among a primitive tribe in the Amazon. One night, shortly after turning 21, the tribal elder told Cole that he was not born into the tribe, but adopted as a baby after he was found in the grass. The elder gave Cole a red crystal ball and a torn photo of his parents, two items that were near Cole when he was found, and told him it was time to find his past and his destiny.
Cole took a canoe and rowed to the costal town of Turtle Cove, U.S.A. His first day of searching for his parents wasn't successful, but he did meet a new friend, a stray dog whom he later saved from an animal lab. Early the next day, Cole was awakened by four strangers who wanted him to come with them. Cole was a little reluctant, but in the end, he didn't have a choice. One of the four gave him a hard punch to the stomach and knocked him out.
Cole awoke on a floating island paradise called Anameriaum, home to the five Wild Force Zords and the beautiful Princess Shayla. There Cole learned that the four strangers who had kidnapped him were the four Wild Force Power Rangers, and that his destiny was to be the fifth member and leader of the team. And use his powers to fight the evil Orgs.
Cole is a kind person, who prefers to talk a problem out rather than fight, but will fight if he has too. He is laid back, easy going, gentle kind of guy. He also has a gift for talking to animals and getting in touch with a person's heart (too bad Orgs don't have hearts). He controls the Wild Force Lion Zord, Gorilla Zord, Falcon Zord, and the Red Lion Fang. Also at his comand are the Anemerium Armor and the Wild Force Rider.
One of the greatest thrills for Cole was getting chosen to acompany almost all of the Red Rangers who had served before him on a quest to stop the last generals of the Machiene Empire from unleashing Serpentara on Earth in the epsiode Forever Red. With the Wild Force Rider, Cole single handedly destroyed one of the mightiest Zords ever built.
Cole's serch for his parents ended in tradgedy when he learned that they had been killed by Master Org, who had once been their best friend. Cole forgave Master Org, but still the evil man would not change his ways and in the end was destroyed by all six Wild Force Rangers and their Wild Zords.
After Master Org's defeat, Cole dedicated his life to helping animals whereever he whent.
