Gohan is the eldest son of Goku and ChChi. At the start of DragonBall Z, he was just a little boy and a major crybaby. But when he was stranded on an island for six months and forced to fend for himself, he toughened up and trained with Piccolo to become a warrior like his father. Gohan’s role in DragonBall Z is minimal until the arrival of the organic android Cell.
Gohan and Goku trained together in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for a year (which is a day in our time) to increase their powers so that they would have a better chance at defeating this monster. There, Gohan rose to the level of Super Sayin. He powered up to Super Sayin level 2 while fighting Cell in the Cell Games. After a hard fought battle, Gohan blew Cell away with a Kamehameha wave and gave the Earth peace for seven years. Afterwards, Gohan turned his attention to his academic studies. Also, he got a little brother, Goten.
In High School, Gohan becomes a masked crime fighter and meets Videl, who later becomes his wife. He also helps the other Z fighters defeat another threat to the Earth, a monster named Boo. (or Buu.) After Boo’s defeat, Gohan becomes a scholar and he and Videl have a Sayin daughter whom they named Pan.
