When DBZ fans were first introduced to little Goten, he was a gentle, loving and care free, and mischievous little squirt(that's why young Goten is one of my favorite DBZ characters) who acted (and looked) a lot like his father, Goku. But for the first six or seven years of Goten's life, Goku wasn't around, so Goten's fatherly role model was his big brother, Gohan.
Goten mysteriously, and to Gohan's amazement, became a Super Sayian naturally at a young age. He and his best friend, Trunks, can fuse together to form the mighty Gottenks.
Unfortunately, by the time Goten reached his teen age years, he became lazy and lost his interest in fighting. By the beginning of DragonBall GT, he'd became less of a hero and more of a ladies' man.
