Kari

"This is a woman's job."

This is Kari's crest: the crest of light.

Kari Kamiya was the eighth kid to join the original Digidestens. She was supposed to be teleported from summer camp to the Digiworld just like the others, but she got sick and couldn't go. So, she had to wait for her big brother Tai and the others to come back and get her when the evil Myodismom invaded the Earth. She and her Digimon partner, Gatomon, helped to defeat not only Myodismon on Earth, but the evil Dark Masters and Apoclymon in the Digital World as well. After Apoclymon was defeated, the Digidestens had to bid a sad farewell to their Digimon and return home.

Four years later, Kari returns to the Digital World along with T.K. and three new Digidestens, Davis, Yolei, and Cody to help save the Digimon from the tyranny of the evil Digimon Emperor, Ken Ijijogi. Since, the Emperor's Dark Digivice and control spires blocked all normal Digivolving, this new team of Digidestens had to find special Digieggs that enabled their Digimon to armor Digivolve and battle Ken.

What I like about Kari is that she's selfless. She always thinks of others instead of herself. She's kind, caring, and brave.

With the Crest of Light that Wizardmon gave Kari, Gatomon can Digivolve into Angewomon. With the Digiegg of Light, Gatomon armor Digivolves into Nefierimon. Gatomon can also DNA Digivolve with Aquilamon, Yolei's Digimon, to form Silphymon. In the Digimon movie, Angewomon can Digivolve into a Digimon called Megandramon. It is revealed that Kari also has some sort of special powers that makes her a target of the World of Darkness, but what they do is unknown. Currently, Kari has two boys interested in her, Davis and T.K, but she seems to care more for T.K.

Kari and the other Digidestens were able to convince Ken that what he was doing to the Digimon was wrong and got him to stop terrorizing them. After that, Kari and her friends went on to defeat the evil Malomyotismon and save the world.

Twenty-five years later, Kari is married, has at least one son and is a kindergarden teacher. The peace won by the Digidesten still exists, but for how long?

Must see Kari episodes: "Home Away From Home," "The Eighth Child Revealed," "Wizardmon's Gift," "The Crest of Light," "Enter Flamedramon," "A New Digitude," "Guardian Angel," "Ghost of a Chance," "Oposites Atract," "Digimon World Tour pt 1" "A Million Points of Light,"

Kari is voiced by Lara Jill Miller.
