The story of the V.R. Troopers is mostly centered around their leader, teen martial artist Ryan Steel. He, like his fellow Troopers, train at the Tao Dojo in Crossworld City. One of Ryan's main goals is to someday become part owner of the dojo. His other goal is to someday rid the world of the threat of the evil Grimlord. Ryan has a personal vendetta against Grimlord for kidnapping his father, Tyler Steel, ten years ago. Ryan was able to save his father, but at the cost of his first set of powers.
Prof. Heart and Tyler Steel were able to make a new set of powers and a more powerful suit of armor (though not as good looking as the first) for Ryan and he was able to rejoin his friends in battle.
Ryan poseses good leadership skills, is strong in heart, mind, and body, is an excellent fighter, and a loyal friend. However, at times he can be a bit hot headed.
