Sound Chaos
Details: This one's kind of interesting... Join a
game, open your chat console, and type "soundchaosdebug". This will
play hundreds of NPC voices in a matter of seconds. To shut them up, simply
type "soundchaosdebug" again. Try it. :)

Looting Scam
Details: This scam is generally done in duel
games... It requires two people (with an alteration it can be done with one).
One player must beable to kill someone within half a second, preferably a
barb. The other player will have to be naked wearing stuff like quilted armor
or something. Both players must hostile each other and the naked player must
let everyone in game loot. When someone dies have the naked player stand
directly on top of the corpse then have him killed. When the victim comes back
to pick up his body there is a chance that he will pick up your partner's body
and then his own. If his inventory is too full he won't pick everything up and
you are free to kill him for good loot =] Enjoy and watch out for people doing
it! (other variation is to just drop a bunch of items around the body... These
items include crappy armor, helms, boots, gloves, whatever they can wear but
don't over do it or you won't get anything)

Multiple Golems
Details: In order for you to have mutiple golems
you must be a Necromancer and have a Paladin with you that can Charge. It is
very simple. First, you hostile each other. Then you create a golem doesn't
matter what kind. Finally, have the paladin charge the golem. This is the
tricky part, right before the paladin hits the golem you unsummon it! If all
works well your pet icon will disappear and you can summon another golem!

Blackout
Details: Join a game, open your chat console, and
type "scrollhack1". This will make your play screen completely
black. To restore your original colors, simply type "scrollhack2".
Great joke to play on your friends! IE: "Hey Bob, type 'scrollhack1' to
activate god mode!"

Loot corpse bug
Details: Join a game and PK someone (...say his
name is Joe). Wait at Joe's corpse until he returns. Before Joe clicks on his
corpse, give him some low quality items (to fill up space in his inventory).
As soon as Joe clicks on his corpse, kill him again. If done correctly, the
items on Joe's corpse will drop to the ground.

Wear Anything
Details: I found a bug that allows you to use any
item (excluding rings and amulets) no matter what the requirements are. In
order to exploit this bug, you must empty your inventory completely except for
the item in which you wish to wear. Go to a group of monsters. Pick up the
item and leave it on your cursor. Let the monsters kill you. Return to your
corpse and click on it. The item will equip itself. Although you can't see it
on your character, it IS there and works like a charm.

DND scam
Details: Not a bug, but close enough. :)
Apparently there is a scam quickly traveling across Battle.net that allows
players to steal your account name and password.
What happens is, users from Battle.net will whisper you and attempt to trick
you into thinking they know something about the game (IE: secret ladder
listings, cheat codes, dupe tricks, etc.) that you, of course, don't know
anything about. Being curious, you will ask them how they know this
information. To answer your question, they will give you a code that
supposedly reveals the secret(s), but instead displays your account password
to the entire world -- thus resulting in public access to your account.
Too confusing?
Here, this is how the secret ladder listing scam is done step-by-step:
- Someone whispers you and states that he/she knows how to view your
ladder status whether you're on the top 50 listing or not.
- You, of course, are curious -- and ask how it's done.
- The scammer gives you a code to type in (IE: /dnd your_password show
ladder) that displays your password to him/her.
- You type in the code and push enter.
- Password revealed.
You see, many people aren't even aware of the '/dnd' command. They think it's
some kind of secret admin code (or something to that effect), when in reality;
it's just a simple command that displays a type of "away" message to
everyone in the chat.
There are many variations to this scam, but as of right now, this is all we
know.

Bone wall bug
(Update: 8-13-00)
Details: OK, listen up Necromancers!
I have received several updated versions of the bone wall bug.
Here's exactly how you do it:
- Go to the Rogue Encampment in Act 1 (best if in Hell mode).
- Step out of town and fill your screen with bone walls. Use as much mana as
possible.
- Walk back into town and wait for the walls to collapse.
- Return to the location of the dead bone walls and loot away!
I have tested this myself and it does in fact work. The loot ranges anywhere
from unique items to perfect gems.
