The movie starts off with Tapion's little bro (I think its Minoshia or something) getting killed, by a giant foot. Back in our universe, the Great Saiyaman (Gohan) and The Great Saiyaman II (Videl) save, a pink guy from jumping off a building. The pink guy, is some kind of evil magician. The pink old guy, then tells Gohan about a mystical warrior named Tapion, and that Tapion is trapped inside the music box he is holding. Gohan tries to open the box, but fails. Fascinated with the story, Gohan tells the rest of the Z-Gang about it. The Z-gang decides to open the box, using the dragon. So, they all go out and collect the 7 dragonballs. They then wish the dragon to open the box. After the wish is completed, the dragon disappears. When the music box opens, a strange blue wind surrounds the area. A musical toon can be heard. The old man starts to look, scared. After the jingle is finished the warrior introduces himself as Tapion, and takes off without even saying thank you. Later, at a barbeque Trunks and Goten steal some food, and attempt to give it to Tapion. Tapion starts to yell at them, so both of them run away in fear. Time skips, and we see a scene of Tapion sleeping. His flute thing, (the one he uses to play his tune) falls from his hand. Suddenly, a black hole seems to appear, and 1 half of a giant monstor comes out. Tapion awakens, and plays the tune, which forces the monstor back into its hiding place. Trunks again attempts to bring food to Tapion, but is interupted by the old man. The old man (I think his name is Hoi) tells Trunks that Tapion, is not really Tapion, and he is some kind of demon. The old man, knocks away Tapion's flutem, but Trunks recovers it. Trunks, ignores the old man's pleas and gives the flute back to Tapion. Tapion and Trunks,then become friends. Trunks, invites Tapion over to his house, and Tapion, goes to his house. At night, Tapion is interupted by Bulma. Tapion then starts to tell Bulma about his freaky past. He tells her that the old man, is really an evil magician. The evil magicians, created an evil monstor to destroy Tapion's homeworld. Tapion and his brother, used the holy artifacts: his sword, and the flutes to contain the monstor inside their bodies. (did I mention he had a sword?) He then tells Bulma, about how he and his brother were sealed into boxes, so the monstor would never be seen again. He then says that he thinks his brother is dead, so the other half of the monstor is free. Bulma then has the idea to build a little house for Tapion, similar to his music box. This works for a while, but somehow the monstor breaks free of Tapion's power. The monstors starts to destroy the capsule corp. Which gets Vegeta very pissed off. He attacks Hildegarn (the monstors name is Hildegarn), but is knocked away like a bug. Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Tapion try to attack the monstor, but all fail. Goten and Trunks then fuse and become Gotenks. Gotenks uses his shine shine missle attack, and the monstor turns to stone. The monstor then breaks free of his cacoon, and know has wings. The monstor then swipes Gotenks out of the sky. Tapion, somehow uses the power of his magical flute, to return the beast to his body. He then asks Trunks to kill him with his sword. Trunks cannot so, the monstor breaks free. At this time, Goku gets really pissed off, so he becomes SSJ3. Goku then uses his Dragon Fist attack, and vanquishes the monstor. At the end, tapion uses a time machine to travel to who knows where. He gives up his sword to Trunks in gratitude.

The credits, show Trunks using his mystical sword to defeat many different enemies.
