The Pledge of AsylumFor the first time since the Supreme Court outlawed prayer in public schools, it has actually made a rational decision. The Supreme Court has found the Pledge of Allegiance to be unconstitutional and I for one am happy with this decision. This is not a a nation under god and wasn't founded as a nation under god. God is not a politician, he does not write bill, pass laws, or run for election. Hold on, I stand corrected on the latter, it seems as though I see more religion campaigning on television these days than anything else. But want can't be denied is that there is suppose to be a seperation of church and state, and last time I checked god had to do with church, not state. So, everyone out there who is outraged with this decision should stop crying and wipe their tears away with the American Flag. That flag does not stand for Christianity, Catholicism, or any other religion. And here's a news flash out to all the "believers" out there, not everyone believes in a god or devine being. The only devine being in Washington comes in bill form. If we keep "one nation under god" in the pledge, I say feel it should also add, "one nation under god, allah, buddha, or even the devil if you worship him".If you want to live in a country based on religion, feel free to move to the Vatican with everyone's favorite relgious figure the Pope. If anything, this all holy man, is more of a terror to the US than any Al Quada member ever will be. Religion is the main terror threat in the World today, whether it be Christianity, Islam, or any other organized relgion. Yet we should forget about the threat of terrorist and not worry about Sadaam Hussain or Osama Bin Laden, while we have other more important things to worry about in our nation. Let's see your God or your pope fix those.
