MUD BOG RULES / CLASSES / PAYOUTS

RULES

1. All drivers must fill out an entry before taking part in the event.
2. Only drivers, owners, mechanics, ect. That sign an insurance release
    will be permitted in the pit area or on the track.
3. Positively no alcoholic beverages. All drivers are responsible for their
    pit crews. Drinking or fighting will result in disqualification and
    forfeiting of any prize money.
4. Drivers must be 18 years old and have a valid drivers license.
    Proof of age is required
5. Modifications are acceptable in any class. Open cabs must have a roll bar.
6. All drivers must wear a seatbelt and helmet.
7. All vehicles must have a fire extinguisher.
8. No loose objects in vehicle. No added weights.
9. Vehicles must have a secure pullback hitch. NO CLEVIS PROVIDED.
10. No riders allowed in the vehicle during competition.
11. No one allowed in the competition area except officials.
12. The course will be marked. Crossing boundaries will result in disqualification.
13. Stop immediately if you make it through the pit.
14. You will be stopped by the official feels the vehicle can no longer move forward
    under its own power in the pit. No backing up.
15. You will be permitted to run once in each class.
16. No reckless driving or speeding anywhere in the pit area.
17. No paddle tires. No nitrous oxide or combustion accelerators.
18. Vehicles will be classified by wheel size only. NOT wheelbase or engine size.
19. Vehicles must be registered one hour before starting time.

DEMOLITION DERBY RULES

1.   Compact Car Demolition Derby – Any factory stock American or foreign auto
        with 105 inch or less wheel base is allowed. 4 cylinder Engines Only.
     Full Size Car Demolition Derby – Any factory stock American made
        auto or station wagon is allowed. All years of Chrysler Imperials are allowed.
     Trucks Demolition Derby – Must be ½ ton or Ύ ton. ( All 4 x 4’s
        must remove front drive shaft ) Trucks follow other demo rules plus rules 36 – 40.
     Mini Vans Demolition Derby – All years and models are allowed.
2.   No Jeeps, SUV’s, Checkered Cabs or other specialty vehicles.
3.   All drivers are required to wear an approved safety helmet. Full face helmets are
      recommended. Safety belts are required and MUST be worn until the heat is completed.
      (Factory installed shoulder straps are recommended.) Drivers must stay in their cars with their
      helmet and belts on until event is over. Car and drivers will be D.Q. for the evening if
      driver unhooks seat belts or removes helmets during the event while under green.
4.   All dirt, glass, and loose pieces must be removed from car.
     ( Do not break the glass in the doors )
5.   All glass including head and tail lights, and side marker lights must be removed
     prior to coming to track. The windshield must be removed. No lights, sirens or other
      noise making devices in or on car. Nothing mounted on car over 4” over the
     roof or trunk and hood.
6.   All chrome moldings, rear seat, sun visors, rear view mirrors, and head liners must
      be removed. Also, carpet and padding.
7.   All outside plastic and grill must be removed, including the factory nose piece.
8.   Stock gas tanks must be removed.
9.   A max. of 3 gallons of fuel will be allowed. A 5-gallon metal, approved gas tank must
      be securely fastened in the area vacated by the rear seat. An approved plastic marine
      tank will be permitted. Tank must have a fuel line type fitting. No rubber hold down straps.
10.  No modifications or reinforcements allowed to the car body, frame or suspension.
          A. Except optional bar behind driver seat from door post to door post. No higher
             than Ύ “ up back of seat. Max. dia. 3” must be welded in place.
          B. Bumpers – car bumpers only on cars. Pick-up bumpers only on pick-up. Bumper
             shocks may be welded. Bumper bracket may be welded but must be in stock locations
             with no reinforcements, no plates or gusset. No chains or cables around bumpers.
11.  Inner driver door padding is required.
12.  No bumper of frame mounted hitches allowed.
13.  A working hydraulic operated brake system is mandatory.
14.  Hood, trunk and station wagon inner decks must be visible for inspection.
15.  Hood and trunk must be secured after inspection. ( Max. of 4 places on hood and 4 places
      on trunk ) Minimum Ό” chain or cable, no “dog type chain” max. 3/8 chains or cable.
      No x-ing of chains or cable on trunk or hood. No readyrod to frame connections. Hood
      pins allowed thru body only max - 4 Ύ”dia. Must not stick up more than 1- ½” above hood.
16.  Welding: You are allowed 4 4x4 plates Ό” thick max. on doors and trunk lid or tailgate.
17.  There MUST be a hole in the hood that measures 12” in diameter above the carb.
18.  All doors must be fastened shut by a horizontal solid steel strap, chain or cable.
      Chains or cables must be minimum Ό” and maximum of 3/8”. Solid welding of doors
      or tailgates will not be allowed.
19.  No forward facing exhaust. Any engine in any car must be in stock location.
20.  Battery must be securely fastened to the front seat passengers floorboard. No rubber
      straps allowed. Top of battery must be covered with a secured rubber mat.
21.  All cooling systems must be original equipment or less and must be located in the
      engine compartment under the hood. No cooling systems ( motor oil, transmission or water)
      allowed in the drivers compartment. No auxiliary tanks allowed. Electric fans are allowed
     but no steel fan blades are permitted.
22.  All air conditioning systems must be drained and rubber hoses removed prior to arrival at
     track.
23.  ALL CARS MUST HAVE 18” HIGH NUMBERS CLEARLY PAINTED ON ROOF.
       Numbers must also be on each door. NO QUESTIONABLE LANGUAGE ALLOWED
      ON CARS. Officials discretion.
24.  No hitting on the drivers door. Doing this will result in disqualification.
25.  Any car which does not move or hit a “LIVE” car within 1 minute will be disqualified.
      Officials will shut down at once any car which is deemed a safety risk. ( Excessive smoking
      or throwing debris from spinning area )
26.  Heat winners and fans choice can run a car which has been run in the present derby.
      Car and / or driver can only qualify once. Unless car or driver has been DQ for evening
27.  A 5 mph speed limit must be maintained at all times in the pit area, parking lot and driveways.
28.  No passengers are to be riding on or in demo cars any time. This includes pit area,
      parking lot or driveway.
29.  The only people allowed on the track at any time will be drivers, officials,towing personnel
      and event promoter.
30.   TIRES ONLY 4 ply passenger or 6 ply LT tires DOT approved tires can be usued.
       Only 1 tire per wheel. NO STUDS!!! All wheel weights must be removed.
       Only AIR is allowed in tires. NO SPLIT RIMS.
31.  NO ALCOHOLIC OR INTOXICATED PEOPLE IN THE PITS!!! They will be
      ejected and and possibly arrested! Any alcohol will be confiscated!!!
32.  A drivers license must be presented by all drivers at registration.
33.  Children under the age of 14 will not be permitted to enter the pit area.
34.  All demolition derby cars and parts taken off of them, must be removed from the fairgrounds
      within one hour after competition has ended and from the fairgrounds by 1:00 a.m.
35.  All persons in the pit area must display the official wristband for the event or they will be
      removed from the pit area.
36.   All drivers must wear eye protection in the form of goggles or a face shield.
      Regular eye glasses will not meet this requirement.
37.  Tailgate must be removed. Must run chains or cables minimum Ό” in 4 spots thru bed
      and around frame in addition to stock bolts.
38.  Fuel tank in bed located in front center of bed.
39.  No lift kits, no suspension lift kits or mod. of any kind.
