Tools and Tips
Here's a glance at some of the tools and tips we use while in the field

Mag-Lite

Well you gotta see what yer doin right? We find a good sturdy Mag-Lite works best for roaming around in the field when it's dark out. Also the tough and rough construction is very good to protect it from breakin when you get spooked and drop it. The worst thing that can happen is trying to find your way through a dark cemetery, house, or building with no light cause the $2 flash light you just bought before the hunt now lies in several pieces.

First Aid Kit

Having the First Aid Kit is a wise thing to carry amongst your group, either one person can carry one or all members can carry one. The more the marrier. The more you carry the better cause time is of the essence and this doesn't help you if your buddy has run about the hunting site trying to find the other member of the group that has the kit and then run back. Just think if you didn't have a First Aid Kit and your buddy if front of you tripped and slammed his/her head off a gravestone or something and now he/she is bleeding badly. SAFETY FIRST!!

Cell Phone

A good and well charged Cell Phone will get you and your group home if your vehicle or other mode of transportation become inoperational. I have been in a situation before where we were at a haunted site and as we left the car wouldn't start, the battery was completly knocked out.. and we had no Cell Phone in the group. That was a long walk. (by the way, the car started just fine when we came back to pick it up the next day... oooOOOooo spooky!)

Ghost Hunter's Log

A good easy to fill out G.H.L. is a handy thing to have when you want write down your readings from you electrical equipment and also to write down your personal thoughts to something spooky or unusual that may have happend during the hunt. It's its a good idea to get the weather report and record it right before the hunt so if mother nature decides to throw something at you, your group is prepared. Here is look at our log's we use.

Camcorder equipped with nightvision

A good video cam with nightvision is a good tool to use out in the field to catch any out of the ordinary events that can or may happen out in the field. It's every ghost hunter's dream to catch an object that a spook might want to throw at you. Just remember to duck! lol

Digital Camera

Everyone has their choice on which digital cam they like to use. They are a great tool to have especially if you have mega memory and you can snap and save several ghostie pics over the course of the hunt. Just a matter of how moola you wanna lay down for one of these.

Conventional Camera

The conventional camera is what I prefer to use cause it puts out a negative that I think backs your studies up if the entity in your photo is considered a ghost. The only problems that I can see with these is the cost of film developement, mechanical, and film problems that naturally exist with these cameras. After a long night of ghost hunting it ain't nothin (at least for us) to have 8 or 10 rolls of film to develop.

Audio Recorder

An audio recorder is a good way to catch a spirit trying to speak to you from beyond. Just make sure there is little operating noise and records a good clear sound. What we've found is it is good to keep this near the person who is running the video cam. We got the crap scared out of us when listen to an audio tape very closely and this loud "OOOOooooOOOooOoooaaarrrhhhh" came across. I ain't never seen the group so scared in my life.. We didn't remember ever hearing something like that out in the field. So we watched the video of the hunt... the noise was the video man goofin off with the zoom. (was he flyin an airplane or somethin? He got the no goofin off speach and was warned). Besides that we have got some E.V.P.s that are genuine and this method works well.
