Heathrow Terminal 4 station

The station comprises of a sub-surface ticket hall leading to one single platform. The station was opened on the 12th April 1986. It formed a new single line loop extension from Heathrow Terminal 1, 2, and 3 (or Heathrow Central) station. The station was built exclusively to serve Terminal 4 with a directly linked ticket hall. A striped ‘4’ motif appears around the station. When opened banks of television monitors on the trackside walls relayed advertisements to waiting passengers but after a short trial they were removed.
