4/10/07: I started this list almost two years ago and continue to add new providers as they come to my attention. Please note that while other pages on this site are copyrighted, the information contained on this page and on the linked page containing therapist listings is not. I believe it is important for people to have access to trans-friendly and competent providers, so please feel free to take and use these listings (or the code for the format) on other webpages.
Note: Many of the therapists listed work with a "sliding scale," which means that these professionals will work with you to determine what type of fee is fair for services. The session fee will be based upon your income and/or what you can pay.
Listings with a  by their names indicate persons or centers which have been recommended by numerous people or have been personally identified as trans-competent providers. (Please keep in mind that this does NOT imply that listings without stars next to their name are not trans-friendly/competent!)
This is meant to be a basic resource- not all therapists
