This is my 1997 Ford Taurus SHO. I bought it with 93k on
the clock back in December of 2005. It had only one owner before me and
was in terrific shape! Brand new tires, to boot. This SHO has the
3.4 V8 for anyone not familiar with the SHO and it's engine progression.
The older versions were V6's....while 2 cylinders up on the V6, this engine only
put out 15hp more stock over the 3.0 and 3.2 engines so don't think for once
that it put the V6 to shame! I will say one thing that I really REALLY
like about this engine choice.....a V8 sounds AMAZING with exhaust! I
wasnt really a big fan of the Gen3 SHOs when I first was introduced to them, but
I saw this one at work and decided that I had to give it a test run just to see
what I thought. Needless to say, even with an automatic and a (dare I say)
under-powered engine, it instantly grew on me. Full leather, moonroof, CD
Changer, Mach Stereo System.....this car is LOADED! I would definitely say
it is/ and has been the nicest car I've owned. Anyhow, the car now has 96k
on it and is still in immaculate condition.
Unfortunately I have to let her go due to money issues.
Im definitely going to be sad to see her go, but hopefully she will go to a new
home and be very well taken care of. Ive seen Tauruses get treated
horribly, this one has NOT experienced that in its life, and hopefully it wont
ever have to.
