I have to admit, I never played Rayman for the Playstation. I just don't like Playstation. That's why this site is Nintendo only. But then again I never played Rayman 64 either. But that doesn't matter because Rayman Advance is based on the Playstation version, not the N64 one.

The story in Rayman Advance goes like this. The Great Protoon has been kidnapped and it's up to the armless, legless Rayman to save the day! On his quest to save the Great Protoon Rayman will defeat many armless, legless enemies and meat many armless, legless allies. He will also have to save the Electoons, which are small creatures who were kidnapped along with the Great Protoon and trapped in cages throughout the game. And finally he will face the legless, armless Mr. Dark, in order to save the great Protoon. Did I mention that none of the characters in the game have arms or legs?

Rayman is a beautiful platformer based completely on the Playstation version which isn't a bad thing considering that the Playstation Rayman was a great game. Sure I never played it, but I've heard things.

Rayman Advance looks like it will be a great game. If you liked the Playstation one you'll like this one. If you're like me and have never played the Playstation version, all the more reason to buy it!
