Wow. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is definitely on my buy list. At the top in fact.

I haven't actually played the game yet but just seeing the video was enough. The graphics are great. If you pause it you can see that it's really not 3D, just a bunch of sprites made to look 3D. But that's only when the game is paused. Otherwise the game runs just like a miniture version of the console versions, but set in a bird's eye view.

THPS2 for the Game Boy Advance has all the levels from from the consoles plus a few extra ones. It also has all the tricks and features, like collecting the letters SKATE. Most of the skaters are there too, Bucky Lasek, Geoff Rowley, Rune Glifberg and of course, Tony himself. Not to mention loads of others.

The sound in Pro Skater 2 is a lot like the other Tony Hawk games except for one thing. It's just instruments. No lyrics. I guess the developer, Vicarious Visions, ran out of space. But don't worry. It's still good, just not great.

There are a few other things missing from Tony Hawk for the Game Boy Advance. The multiplayer is gone. Oh well. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater always has been a mainly one player game. The Create-A-Skater and Create-A-Park are also gone.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is the first launch title I'm going to buy. I suggest it be yours too.
