Swedish BLACK METAL SCENE
"It's A Matter Of Life Or Death!"
Introduction:
So, Sweden Black Metal is one of the most popular scene across the world, All bands from this country have their own sound... Called "Swedish sounds" or "Goteborg sound"... They 're full and old bands, good musicians, and good mentality... We cannot talk about Swedish Black metal without talk about Bathory. Bathory is (to my point of view) THE first Black Metal band from this dying world (yes, there're Celtic Frost and Venom, too)... Bathory have influenced Sweden and given birth to many bands, some of them are now disbanded and some continue... After this first wave (Abruptum, Marduk, Allegiance etc..)...
A second wave is coming... The eternal "Black Metal New-School" or "Neo-Black metal" which is into melodic-dramatic black metal (Opeth, Amon Amarth, Nagflar, Dark Funeral ...etc.) ... Yes, I don't like this movement...
Black Metal is actually suffer of abusive marketing in this country but the situation isn't too serious than Norwegian Black Metal Scene ("Decadent Norwegian")... Marduk or Dark Funeral are just happens to be one of the more trend bands to get in on the act... Go to any extreme metal show, or even a goth show and just look at the mass amounts of Marduk or Dark Funeral shirts out there. It seems like they have more T-Shirt designs then songs....
Sweden Black Metal is just so "clean" for me... It's not really "True" Black metal scene... Bands are not living for any way of life, they are living for business and appearance... I'm suppossing that influence comes from the actual Norway's attitude...
Except this pessimist vision of Sweden (sorry, I'm sick to see a good old scene became Trend-scene...), there are some good Black metal bands who have keep the flame of underground alive...like Nastrond, Necromicon, Nifelheim...etc... And without theses bands, Sweden will be a poor Black metal country for childrens...
