The long trips were never a problem
Nor was my love for you not strong enough
But what caused the ultimate demise was my own selfishness
I should have been there for you, but wasn't
I should have done more, but I didn't
I should have stayed but I walked
I wish it could have been different, but alas it can't
It hurts to much to speak anymore
I would wish it could all be different,
But you said there is no way
I hold on to hope wishing that it would change
But alas as you said it won't
You want friendship, but I want more
I never expected to fall in love so quickly
I was even going to go into debt for you
To move closer and to be with you
