False Evidence

This page was built to show how easy "fake" ghost photos can be taken due to user error. Please, read the Protocol on taking photos while on a ghost hunt on our main page. As a ghost hunter, you should follow strict rule in taking photos and always try to rule out the natural causes. Such as dirt, rain, and smoke. Below are a few examples of what many people can do to create these false entities. Enjoy.

The photo above is a good sample why you don't conduct outdoor investigation while it's snowing.

This ectoplasm was captured inside a cemetary. Guess what? The ectoplasm is actually water from a sprinkler system. Cool effect huh?

You should never conduct a ghost hunt in the rain. This is actually water droplets on the lens.

Have long hair? Tie it up into a poneytail because this is what happens when you take a picture of your hair.

This is a great example of Dust Motes in the air or on your lense. Keep your gear clean.

Never smoke on a ghost hunt. Tobacco smoke can create false images.

This is a smudge on the camera lense. Again, make sure you keep your camera lenses clean.
