Pure Temptation
Purity or temptation?
A timeless contemplation.
Purity for the patient,
A people almost ancient.
Temptation for those with greed,
For those with an insatiable hunger to feed.
Purity or temptation?
Both a different sensation.
The flame of eternal light,
The candle that burns in the night.
The blaze of eternal despair,
The destruction of souls beyond repair.
Purity or temptation?
A heavenly salvation,
An eternal damnation,
A blissful flight,
A distressful plight,
A gleeful rise,
A gloomy demise.
Purity or temptation?
A startling realization.
