Note for June 24, 02: -Colin and I started the ascent at 7:00p.m. We summited at 8:45 and were back down at 9:30. It was fairly chilly but the sun was still out. I remember now why I dont like this hike. It is a grunt up a forested ridge with weak views and no scrambling except for the last few meters. We just did it because we got kicked out of Kananaskis trying to go up Mt. Baldy(G-8 summit) and we needed a short scramble to pass some time.

June 24, 02- This is the view about halfway up the ridge of the valley leading towards canmore. June 24, 02- This is the moderate section of the ridge. All of the ridge other than this is a steep, grassy plod. June 24, 02- Here is Colin on the top. We didn't traverse over to the higher summit because of the lateness of the day. It was already 8:20 p.m and we still had to descend, make supper, then drive to Castle Junction.
