Give that man a "New", unfortunately they have been giving this man too many "News". Tooheys New is our drink of choice lately. I don't know why, but they have practically no light beers here. Remember the "Bitter Beer Face" commercials? Well in Australia, practially all they have is Bitter Beer. There is Victoria Bitter (VB), XXXX (four-ex) Bitter, Melbourne Bitter and a host of other. I just thought I would let you know that no one here likes Fosters. You can get it, but why? There Toohey's New, XXXX, VB, Hahn, and Rum and Cola in a can already mixed. Who needs Fosters. But I do miss those commercials - "Guppy."

Vegemite is usually described at "that salty black <explicative>". I can't say that I like it, but if I had a choice I would probably choose something else. It is supposed to be one of the worlds best sources of vitamin B, at least it has that going for it.

If you walk around the Gold Coast for more than a block you will come accross discount magazines. They are helpful for their maps mostly and are a good source of finding about thing around town. Three that I pick up here and there to see if there is anything worth doing this weekend are LOOK, Hello Gold Coast, and Wots On. I think it is funny in the back of one of these discount magazines there is a questionaire that asks "Why did you pick up this magazine?" and one of the options is something like because of the sexy cover.

There are two main universities (or uni's as they are called here) on the Gold Coast. However TAFEs are very large in Australia. TAFE stands for Technical and Further Education. There are TAFEs in the malls and everywhere.
