Here is how you tell what kind of day it is. The service sign tells me what kind of rips and what to look out for. Swimmers have to stay between the red/yellow flags. The flag above the sign tells what kind of day it is. Green is a definite good one. This yellow one wasn't bad, in fact it is usually yellow around Surfers Paradise. But Red is a no-go.
