MY DRAWINGS (with poems to match)
Friend-Ship
If you come aboard my friend-ship
bring a paddle and some rope
for I have a sinking feeling
we might NOT stay afloat
Excerpt from Poem-atic:
-----
Why I write
I want to leave my Mark
and he's NOT someone I dated
I love to touch someone's heart
with a piece that I've created
Don't know how to make kids
and cooking, that's a laugh!
My poems are my legacy
enjoy them, it's all I have

Ode to baby Faith Deziréy
(monotetra)
Faith Deziréy is oh-so-smart!
Her clever wit sets her apart
soon as you meet, right from the start
she'll steal your heart; she'll steal your heart
Whatever time with her you spend
she'll stick with you right to the end
the cutest child in all the land...
she's my best friend! she's my best friend!

and one very neat work of art from moi:
Writer's Block (II)
(published in Turbulence)
In the Heights
everyone is down
unemployment is that tenant
who recently moved in your building
the one you want to get rid of
but who just won't budge
sirens go off like alarm clocks
pairings are warned against
(lest you become a newspaper headline
should you change your mind)
census walks the streets like a 5 o'clock whore
counting misery by the numbers
Writer's Block (III)
(monotetra)
Right on impulse, I went to Rome
missing my muse, the streets I roamed
downcast and broke, I came back home
and still no poem... and still no poem...
I rode a bus, followed a hearse
granted a wish, invoked a curse
relied upon the universe
and still no verse... and still no verse...
Carried on a conversation
with a jew and a croatian
thought about changing vocation
sanitation? sanitation?
