Here we are leaving Lake Ann at about 5:30am hiking toward the Fisher Chimney; a high fourth class low fifth scramble that takes you to the upper Curtis glacier.

Our climb of Shuksan took place in July. Much of the past seasons snow had now melted off leaving the glaciers open as great seas of crevasses. Our Journey from one end of the upper Curtis glacier to the other was made in quite a laborious fasion of big zigzags, while avoiding the great obsticals.

Matt and Susanne near the top off "Hells Highway", the end of the the upper Curtis glacier and the beginning of our trek to the end to the Sulfide Glacier. The Sulfide glacier (and it's many crevasses) is the last obstical from this point to reach the summit pyramid.
