How to Eliminate Smoke Odor

It's always a good idea to keep incense and air freshener around as a precaution. Try and use it when you're not smoking as well to avoid suspicion.

Method 1: The Fan in the Window

First, close all vents and seal the gap underneath your door with a large towel. Get a large flat box fan like the one pictured below. Open a window and place the fan on the window sill, facing outside. Set it on at least the medium setting, and stay near the fan as you toke. This creates a consant vacuum that will air out the space and circulate air. After you're done, leave the fan going for about five or ten minutes and the room should be free of odor.

PROBLEMS WITH THIS METHOD: Noisy; Bugs can get inside.

Method 2: The Blowtube

For this one, you'll need some materials: 1 Toilet Paper Roll, 10 Fabric Softener Sheets, and 1 Rubber Band. Cut a 4×4 inch square off of one of the softener sheets. Take the remainder of that sheet(everything but the square) as well as the other 9 and stuff them all into the toilet paper roll. Place the square you cut over one of the ends and secure it with the rubber band. There is a picture what it should look like below. If you blow the smoke through this, it will come out a very faint odor(mostly like fabric softener) then disappear very quickly. Make a tight seal with your lips when you use this device and exhale slowly. Use a coin to cap the bowl after you hit it, making sure not to let any smoke out. Every so often you'll need to replace the dryer sheets with fresh ones. This should usually be done every few weeks depending on how often it is used.

PROBLEMS WITH THIS METHOD: Makes coughing difficult; Can only be done with pipes; Smoke is still visible.

Method 3: The Long Blowtube

For this one, you'll need a rubber or plastic tube. The length will depend on individual needs, but it should be at least three feet long. This method is a little more assuring than the traditional blowtube method. That's because the smoke isn't just deodorized, but actually expelled from the room. Just take the tube and open a window leading outside just enough for the tube to be placed through it. Don't squeeze the tube with the window, you'll need some airflow. At this point you should have one end of the tube in your hand and the other hanging outside. Let the tube hang at least a foot out so smoke does not reenter the room. Exhale the smoke into the end near you and it will exit your room, taking along its incriminating odor. Cap the bowl not allowing any smoke to escape and you've done it.

PROBLEMS WITH THIS METHOD: Makes coughing difficult; Can only be done with pipes.
