How to Make a Bong

Step 1:

Gather materials. You will need 1 20 oz. soda bottle, 1 socket from ratchet set, 1 writing pen(preferably metal, or for better restults the socket and pen can be replaced by a real stem and bowl available at smokeshops for cheap), 1 metal mesh screen, electrical tape, 1 small knife.

Step 2:

Take the bottle and with the knife, put a small hole a few inches from the bottom of the bottle.

Step 3:

If you're using a pen, take out all the insides of the pen, so that it's just a small tube. If the ends are enclosed, you can just cut them off. Metal pens are the safest to use, but I often find myself using plastic. Just be sure not to get it so hot that it melts. You'll end up smoking plastic. Wrap a good amount of electrical tape around the center of the pen tube. Then attach the bowl to the end of the tube with more tape and put the screen in the bowl.

Step 4:

Shove the pen tube down the hole you made in the bottle. The tape helps make it air tight. To test how air tight it is, cover the stem and suck on the top of the bottle. If it's not sufficient, take it out and wrap more tape around it.

Step 5:

Take the knife and poke a small hole for a carb. Put the carb wherever feels comfortable, just don't put it low enough to leak water, or too high to clear the chamber.
